Why Visiting an OBGYN Should Be Your New Year's Resolution

So many of us make fitness and health a priority for the New Year. Resolutions for weight loss and healthy eating are at the top of our lists, yet here at Lievano-Perez, we believe women’s health should also be a concern as we enter into the New Year. Visiting an OBGYN this 2019 is a great way to monitor your health or any condition that may arise. Read on for our reasons why you should make visiting an OBGYN your New Year’s resolution!

Vaccines and Weight Loss- Our health becomes our main priority the day January 1st hits. We want to lose weight and make our check-up appointments as soon as possible. Did you know that your OB/GYN can help you manage weight loss with methods that are tailored to you and your fitness level? We also administer our own vaccinations for human papillomavirus (HPV), the flu, and other viruses/conditions.

Cancer Screenings- It’s more than just a pap smear. When you come into Lievano-Perez ask us about tests for ovarian, uterine, and cervical cancers as well as colon cancer and breast cancer.

Sex- Sex is a sensitive subject for some, but we want you to feel comfortable discussing intercourse with us. O/BGYNs can explain what happens during intercourse, what may cause pain during sex, and how changes in your body can affect pain or discomfort. We’re open and honest. We want you to feel free to come to us with any of your concerns this 2019.

Looking to Get Pregnant?- If you’re ready to get pregnant this 2019, it’s important to schedule an appointment with your OB/GYN to learn what steps to take for a healthy pregnancy.

Menstrual Problems- We’re here to help you, so if you’re experiencing painful periods, we’d be happy to offer remedies to help soothe your menstrual pain or ways to improve heavy or abnormal periods.

There are so many reasons to make visiting an OBGYN your priority this 2019! If you don’t have an OB/GYN, we’re happily accepting patients this New Year!
