Biography
Some physicians crisscross the nation in pursuit of their classroom and clinical education, and to find the ideal location to begin practicing medicine. But not Erika M. Collado, MD. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Dr. Collado is an obstetrics and gynecology specialist at Lievano Perez Obstetrics and Gynecology of Miami. And if she looks like she’s at home, it’s only because she is.
Dr. Collado earned a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Florida International University and her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, both in Miami. She completed her postdoctoral training with a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Jackson Memorial Hospital, the major teaching hospital for the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
Dr. Collado is the recipient of the Mary J. O’Sullivan Award: Excellence in Performance in Maternal Fetal Medicine. Her special interest is high-risk pregnancies. When she isn’t in the office helping her patients, Dr. Collado enjoys spending time with friends and family as well as trying out new restaurants and reading.
